A first-hand journal of The Reducers' Japan Tour 2004.

The Reducers at the El 'N Gee Club, New London, CT

Set List Pipe69, Osaka, 6/27/04

Posted by rpb

Here's the set list as performed in Osaka:

Don't Mind Rockin'
San Antone
Nothing Cool
Rocks
I Call That Living
Fashion Of The Times
Fistfight At The Beach
Jackpot Fever
Kid's Game
Scared Of Cops
Bums I Used To Know
Life In The Neighborhood
Black Plastic Shoes
Hurt By Love
Out Of Step
Let's Go

Encore 1:
No Ambition
Something Better Change

Encore 2:
Pub Rocking
Head Kicked In

Now in a previous post you might remember that I mentioned something about the blissed out audience shouting "Punk Rock Kings...."? Well Hugh seems to think that they weren't shouting that at all, and were just asking for Pub Rocking as an encore.

Hmmm, "Puh-bra-king! Puh-bra-king!" or "Punk Rock Kings! Punk Rock Kings?"

I dunno, Hugh.

"Wish I was there" is the biggest understatement I've ever made. I'll never forgive you for not bringing your documentary team with you but if you bring back some good video/photos I won't kill you.

Here's a potential narration ending for the documentary: "After the Japanese import releases of the first three Reducer's albums went platinum the Sail Fest was renamed "The Reducers Fest."

Don't forget, if you get that hotel courtesy call, it's "Rip my stocking" not "Lick my stocking."

Well, boys, have good show and good fun.

I'm feeling so jealous about you guys being in Japan! Maybe some sort of fear that they'll claim you like America claimed the Beatles! This is so cool! Can't wait to see the photos! I'm listening to the Ocean Beach CD at work right now reading this and wishing we were there.
