Shows from the Macintosh/New York Music Festival are supposed to be broadcast live over the Internet. You need to register (it's free) in order to access the web site. After registering you'll need to have CU SeeMe software to see the live video, QuickTime 2.0 and QuickTime VR Player (Mac only) to see the Vitrual walk-through of each club, the Real Audio player to hear the audio broadcasts, and Netscape 1.1 if you want to see their web pages they way they were intended to be seen. There are links on the NYMF page to locations for downloading this software if you don't already have it. Go to the Macintosh/New York Music Festival page now and register!

Macintosh New York Music Festival

July 17 - 22 1995

6 Nights - 350 Bands - 15 Clubs - 1 Web Site <http://www.inch.com/festival/>

350 of today's cutting edge bands will perform in 15 clubs over 6 nights this summer. Each club will host a Macintosh kiosk that is linked to the festival Website on the Internet. The Web will feature artist profiles (including bio, music, video, and a link, if any, to a band's website), an Apple QuickTime photo tour of each club, and a live connection to the festival. Attendees will see shows live and know what is happening at other venues.

During the festival, photos of the shows In Progress will be uploaded to each club's Livewire page.

Journalists in each club, will be constantly updating all the happenings AS THEY HAPPEN.

If you think you've got the bandwidth...you can check out live video from the clubs.

Even at lower connection speeds, you can still get live audio from the Knitting Factory, and Irving Plaza.

You'll be able to virtually attend a show from anywhere in the world.
