There is also a benefit show for Steve in the planning for Friday, June 15th at the Hygienic Art Park featuring the Rivergods, Dogbite, Ken Atkins & the Honky Tonk Kind, Original Sinners in addition to other special guests! Mark your calendars, save the date and plan on being there! It’ll be a fun night of great music and all the money raised will go to Steve and Charlene to help ease their financial situation/burden/worries.

And in a remarkable display of solidarity from the other side of the world, there will be a benefit for Steve taking place in Tokyo! On Saturday, June 2nd our friends Firestarter, Raydios, Rockbottom and the Gimmies will perform at the Shimokitazawa Three club with all profits donated to help Steve! Great friends, great bands, and another night of great music for a good cause. We thank everyone involved in advance for thinking of us.

Lastly, thanks to everyone involved with the Good Sponge showcase/CD release party that took place at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Barn on March 31st. A good percentage of that night’s profits from the door and the bar were donated to the fund for Steve and Charlene. It all adds up and every donation will help. We’ll be in touch and we look forward to seeing everyone again.

A lot of you have inquired about what, if anything, you might do to help Steve out while he tries to get “back to normal.” Steve has been working as a self-employed building contractor for more than 30 years and it’s now been over 3 months since he’s been able to do any work, due to his condition. What Steve and his wife Charlene could really use right now, in addition to your continued prayers and best thoughts, is some money to help them with their mounting bills. The Reducers head north to Hartford for a gig at Arch Street Tavern on Saturday, Dec. 10th with The Manchurians and Sidewalk Dave.

The Manchurians and The Reducers go way back- Roger was invited to New London with his then RCR band in ’78 and they’ve been pals ever since- The glory days of The Lit Club included several appearances by these bands and every Hartford show they’ve done together has been fab!! They teamed up to record an ep-”Wake The Neighbors” in the 80′s – This show will have the added cache of Sidewalk Dave AND will be the next edition of Chip McCabe’s terrific television show-”Live & Local” and will air on WCCT TV in January! presented by CT.com.

Come early- music at 9!!! Rumor has the SantaCon coming by as well!! LSG antics!!!!
