Dead Air Radio

Hugh and Peter have been co-hosting the Dead Air Radio show on WCNI, the excellent radio station at Connecticut College, for almost 20 years. A couple of years ago they added Paul Sweeney into their alternating DJ rotation. You have many options if you'd like to check it out:

• Over The Air - If you find yourself in southeastern Connecticut you can tune your radio to 90.9 on the FM dial on Wednesday nights from 6-9pm ET.
  
  
• Over The Internet - You can listen in via the WCNI Internet feed (11pm GMT / @000 Internet Time).
  
  
• Podcast - If you missed the show fear not. If you have iTunes (v4.9 or later) installed you can use it to subscribe to the Dead Air podcast feed so that each week's show is automatically downloaded by iTunes and (optionally) loaded onto your iPod the next time you sync it. I haven't been very good lately about posting new shows so don't be surprised to see a month go by with no update. These files are in AAC format, not MP3s, because AAC provides better sound quality at lower bit rates than MP3 does.
  
  
• Download - If you can't take advantage of the podcast feed then you can find the most current shows available for download below. The shows are 3 hours long and thus the file isn't small (87MB) so don't even bother to try to download it unless you've got a fast broadband connection or a whole lot of time to kill. You may need to install QuickTime in order to use AAC files on your computer. If you intend to load it on to a portable digital audio player other than an iPod then first check it's specifications to see if it supports unprotected AAC formatted files.
